Episode 12 – Hearing God: Kinesthetic Sensing

Focal Scriptures : Luke 24v32 Psalm 39:3

Introduction:

Kinesthetic sensing is a modern term for discerning divine communications through physical sensation.

When God made us, He gave us different senses as a gift. God created us with five basic senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. He intricately designed each sense organ to transmit information to our brain. Our five senses help us understand and notice what is happening in our world.

a. Eyes– 2kings6:17,20. Elijah Eph 1v18

b. Ears– Pro 23:12;Acts28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

c. Nose – smell- Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.

d. Touch– Hands – Mark 5:27,30-31; Mark 6:56

e. Taste– Ps 34:8; James 3:9-12 O taste and see that the LORD is good:

The Spiritual realm sometimes employ the 5 senses to operate in the physical space.

Examples

Kinesthetic sensing is an advanced yet, fascinating way to hear God. This involves movement, fragrances, temperature changes, and feelings of pain and other sensations. I sometimes feel the temperature change around my body as I enter a moment in someone’s past when they experienced a traumatic event.

Similarly, I may feel heat, which can have several meanings, from an inspiration to minister to someone, to the presence of an angel. Likewise, I sometimes smell a fragrance or a stench, and these sensations also tell me something about the person.

  • Emotions of pain, joy, may represent a burden; an opportunity to pray for someone John 4v4. At such times, Stop and pray till the burden is lifted
  • Pain in a part of the body may mean someone is going through that Pain and is being healed
  • Raised hair, goose pimples
  • Stench may denote the presence of demons
  • Heat-may denote inspiration /angelic presence.

It’s an advanced communication channel, that takes a lot of practice to get used to. With time you understand the Personal Code between you and God.
