Qualifications for Priesthood
1.
Birth = no more Levitical priesthood, (finished, abolished on the cross) but Melchizedek priesthood =
to be Born again.
2.
Called of God (General calling, Specific Individual calling). Hebrew 5:4.

Cleansed/cleansing (daily): Exo 29:4 – ‘‘And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, and shall wash them with water’’. Ephesians 5:25-22. God’s Word
purifies our thoughts and motives as we absorb and obey its truths. John 17v17.

Clothed: Exodus 28:1-2, Exodus 29:8-9.
Spiritual not Physical Garment (robe of righteousness, garment of praise, beauty of holiness, garment of harlot, beggar’s garment). Each speak of a spiritual attribute of God, Holiness, Righteousness, Mercy,
Decision making which the Priest must possess. There is a code of conduct for our priesthood (Season 2)

Consecrated: Exodus 29v19-21, Exodus 29:20.
Blood⇒ (salvation affects every aspect of our lives) toe ⇒ (our walk) hand ⇒ (activities) ear ⇒
(hear/mind).
CONCLUSION
I want you to measure your Priesthood according to these qualifications – Born, Called, Cleansed daily, Clothed, and Consecrated by the blood.
