1. Blemish/physical defect ⇒ SIN. Leviticus 21:21 -23, 2 Timothy 2v20.
2. Blind ⇒ Vision. Leviticus 21:18, Proverbs 29:18. Vision is what powers the Calling. Visions of
greatness are not the same as illusions of grandeur. What is God doing?
1 Sam 3v2 – ‘‘One night Eli, who was almost blind by now, had gone to bed.’’
John 5v30 – ‘‘I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just,
because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.’’
3. Flat nose ⇒Leviticus 21v 18 – ‘‘For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach:
a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous. Songs of Solomon 7v4b…..
your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus. (Tower is a place where watchmen stay strategic watching ⇒ discernment.
4. Broken arm. Leviticus 21:19 – ‘‘Or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed (wield sword of
spirit). Psalms 144:1, Psalms 78:72.
5. Dwarf (underdeveloped). Leviticus 21:20 – ‘‘Or crookback, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his
eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; You can’t give what you don’t have. Matthew
26:39, Colossians 4:17, Hebrew 6:1.
6. Scabbed (Jealousy, bitterness). Leviticus 21:20 – ‘‘Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in
his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
Luke 17:1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto
him, through whom they come!
7. Crushed testicles, stones broken; reproductive glands Lev 21:20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; (no life ).
